Jon Horst helps deliver NBA title

Horst, the 2018- 19 NBA Executive of the Year, graduated from Sandusky in 2002, before playing for Rochester College. He was a member of Rochester’s back-to-back United States Collegiate Athletic Association national championship teams in 2004 and 2005.

After building a solid supporting cast around Antetokounmpo, Horst and the Bucks finally broke through for their second-ever NBA title, earning a 4-2 series victory over the Phoenix Suns.

Wizards Name Wes Unseld Jr. Head Coach

Wes Unseld Jr. has been named the new head coach of the Washington Wizards. The Wizards and Unseld’s representative agent, Brian Elfus, have agreed to a four year deal. Prior to the hire, Coach Unseld Jr. worked as an assistant coach for the Wizards , Warriors, Magic, and Nuggets.

Wes is “committed to the Wizards organization and looking forward to take the next steps by making sure each player has the work ethic and defensive prowess to develop Washington into a championship culture.”

Brian Elfus
Founder and CEO

ESM’s CEO, Brian Elfus, is a basketball industry veteran who has been an agent for 22 years and has negotiated more than $600 million in contracts throughout his career. His impressive client roster includes: NBA Head Coaches, NBA Executives, NBA Assistant Coaches, NBA G League Head Coaches, NCAA Div One Head Coaches, Div One Assistant Coaches and Head Coaches for prominent overseas clubs.
Prior to founding ESM, Brian was a certified contract advisor with the NBPA and spent six years with Impact Sports Management, growing the basketball division from its infancy stages. In 2010, he negotiated a $40 million extension for Tyrus Thomas, and he was responsible for the signings of all-star Kawhi Leonard and Will Barton, among many other NBA players. He negotiated Leonard’s max contract, valued at $94 million, with the San Antonio Spurs in 2015. Before entering the sports business, Brian worked for a prominent criminal defense attorney in NY and practiced civil litigation for a small firm in Los Angeles.
Brian received his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and his B.A. from American University.
